Front Brake Pad Install ?

Hey guys! I was wondering if I need piston compressors to do the front brake pad install or can i just install the front brake pads with just channel locks?
Also where can i get a impact screwdriver for a decent price? I went to home depot and they did not have any. I went to autobarn and they wanted $35 for a used set!! I was like you crazy!!!!!!!!!!

I just used a C-clamp to compress the piston....

Also, what do you need an impact driver for in this job? It's two damn bolts

are you replacing the rotors? You're title says pads...you do not need to remove the rotor for the pads.

Make sure you re-surface the rotors. The CL's are notorious for warped rotors. My

I just open the bleed valve on the caliper, so that I can gently pry the pads out with a screwdriver. You also have to bleed them a little bit with this method. Chucking the heat shields might help keep the rotors abit cooler, it worked for me.

Get a HUGE screwdriver and hit it in with a hammer before you start turning...

SEND THE ROTORS TO GET CUT!!!!!

make sure to grease everything with the brake stuff (grease?)... inside the clips between the caliper and pads too

i got rotoras w hawk hps pads

I bought slotted rotora rotors from streetbeatcustoms. com for 162.50 shipped for the front pair which was a great deal. Autocarparts wanted $198 shipped to my house - whichw as a rip off. i also got hawk hps pads from tirerack so i cant wait to do the setup this weekend. The only issue that i have is installing the brake pads - there is a lot of stuff on the forum about changing brake rotors but not pads. I definitely need to rent a c clamp from pep boys or something? Or can i just get away with using channel locks? I definitely need a impact screwdriver.
Also is it really necessary to clean the new rotora rotors and apply grease on the calipers and stuff and also put anti squeak stuff on the pads?
