Found a cheap CL, would like some info

Hey 2nd gen people. I drive a 1st gen CL currently and a blue on black 2003 6-speed just popped up on the local classifieds for $4,600 CDN. Downside is it's got 264,000km (164,000 miles) on it. I've been searching and looking around on here for more info about these to see what to look for but I figured I'd just ask, for a car with mileage like that is there anything common/specific to this model I should be checking for being bad?
The car looks to be in decent condition just from the pictures, haven't seen it in person yet, though. Thanks!

Timing belt service should be done. Ask for receipts on this.

For inspection purposes:
Engine mounts go quickly
axles as well
Some manuals have a bad 3 gear synchros
Warped rotors is almost a standard.
Rear Main Seal is another culprit.

You can check these out relatively easy

Then there are the common stuff such as tread on tires and pads yadda yadda.

Also check for body damage as this could bring down the value of the car (some would like to believe that it raises value).

go for it..cant to much go wrong other than clutch and flywheel @ 160k miles, which is only another $1-2k at worst...$4600 is a good deal if its not beat up and beat on....gl

What car? If you mean the Supra it does 13's stock lol, I'm selling it cuz I'm just kind of bored of having a car that's on jackstands more than it's on the road and I'm over fast cars for a while lol.

that's a good deal. I thought a saw a blue 6speed on kijiji the other day too. Make sure timing belt has been done, listen for noisy valves (ticking), and check the clutch out when you drive it. good luck

Personally, I wouldn't buy any car with 164K on it if I needed a main car. Just way too many miles. I'm sure you can get a much lower car for not much more $. Maybe not a CLS6 though.
At that mileage everything is suspect. The clutch, trans, the suspension(shocks, bushings, ball joints etc) The AC, belts, hoses, plugs, coils, I could go on. There's just so much that could/should need replacing.

Isn't the noisy valves pretty common for our cars? It is just the injectors right?
