How much to repaint black cl?

The clearcoat is starting to fail on the roof, trunk, and other parts of the car. How much would a repaint cost in the same nighthawk black pearl?

supplies alone today usually cost between $1500-$2000. Add that to labor charges and youre looking at least $2000 to repaint the whole car

Probably not worthwhile as the paintjob will probably cost about 1/2 the value of the car. Just save your money.

I would say post pictures first you might be able to get it detailed unless the clear coat is peeling.

agreed^^^
or get it vinyl wrapped for 6-700..
A proffessional paint job will cost you at least 1500 to stay the same color. most reputable body/paint shops charge 2500-3200 to do a factory quality paint job, believe me, ive checked it out....

dont even try maaco or econo, you will be wasting your 399, but if you get there "factory" paint job for 999, it most of the time looks decent, but not factory quality....gl man

I was quoted something like 1000-1200 dollars for a perfect job with just a generic black pearl. I had the same problem. I went with a budget auto painter. I wouldn't usually go with a budget painter, but the car isn't worth much anymore.

It turned out ok other than 1 or 2 spots with trash in the paint. I can't complain. If you're going that route get the most expensive paint job the budget guys offer. Get a ureathane clear coar and if you have extra money get as many coats of clear you can afford. Do the prep work if you can because they usually don't take their time doing prep.

car only has 68k miles and still runs fine. 2001 cl-p. not really sure what to do. feels like a waste since it runs fine, but having to repaint is a total pain.

its not a waste if done properly...i would just use di-noc vinyl for the roof if thats what is peeling, then wetsand and compound and buff the rest of the car...gl

Get the thing painted! You have plenty of life in it, and would enjoy the car more if you repaint.

I paid about $2200 for a decent paint job + some body work, supposedly with like a 3 year warranty (on the paint). It was totally worth it as geico shelled out for the body work and covered about a third of the cost.

Post a picture of the roof if you can I have a friend that can tell if you need a repaint just by looking at the picture, well that is what he tells me.
