Also, tire, tire size, do you have springs (i.e. car lowered 1 1/2" or so, and if so and rubbing? Actually it would be nice if we could get a list generated in the garage area? A thought..

If you can wade through the bickering, check out the posting from this past weekend. It might help a bit.

This is an excerpt from the post referenced above

"In response to your original question... the offset of the stock wheels is 55. I put on some 18" BBS RK's (and 225/40/18 tires) with 42 offset and there are no problems with rubbing. I've heard 235's will rub. "

everything you're looking for is in my sig.

and no, i do not rub..
the tires before these were Toyo proxes 245/40/18, which are wider.. and they didn't rub either.

careful though... my car is a CL-P... and from what i hear, wheel offsets differ for Premium and type-s

my stock offset is 45mm.

bottom line is getting any 18" rim is okay... even 19"...
the thing you gotta watch is your width. certain widths require certain offsets. i recommend not going any thicker than 18x8.
my wheels are too thick...trust me. i kno. steering wheel gets jerky sometimes too.

just go for 18x7.5" with 225/40 tires with a variable offset of 40-50mm. (for Type-S, the closer you get to 50mm, the better. for CL-Premium owners, the closer you get to 40mm, the better. Good luck people).

The largest tire I could use was 225/40/18 with a 42mm offset wheel. Anything bigger rubbed. AND I needed shaved rear fenders.

But if you can find a wheel with a higher offset (as the previous post suggested), you can throw a bigger tire on. That's your best bet.

Problem is, not as many wheels are made with high offset. It's fairly uncommon among cars (except Acura) to have a low offset. (meaning you need a high offset wheel to compensate)
