I used to live in NY, and when I moved down to VA I got pulled over for tint while driving my brothers car in the next county over. I had a court date that I couldnt keep due to work, so I requested a continuance. They said sure. Back in NY, when I requested a continuance, they would send me a letter with the new date. Well a month and a half goes by and I didnt recieve a damn thing. I called the court and they said I was granted a continuance, and I missed the court date. I was pissed, because they suspended my license because of it. I paid the [bullshit] fine and went on my way. Two months later I get a letter from the county I live in stating that due to my [bullshit] suspension, any driver under the age of 21 has to take a driver improvement course. And now that shows up on my drivers license report with insurance.

So definately check with your DMV and make sure they arent trying to screw you.

i got a ticket like 8 months ago for driving on the wrong side of the road when i was clearly making a left turn but i didnt go to court for it because my passenger said he wud pay for the ticket. But i they gave me a points for it and sent me that letter. So i went to some old driving school i used to go to and got the issue resolved by taking a test that i passed in less than 30 min. LUCKY

paying the ticket is not the problem it's the points you get on your license, then how the insurance likes to ripe you a new one with your preminums

Ive already taken the course.

Here's my brief driving history:

Stop 1: loud exhaust and 55 in a 30. Led to a suspended license because I was young and stupid and didnt show in court for about 2.5 years.

Stop 2: 90 in a 55 even though I was doing well over 100mph racing, and I had a suspended license at the time. Got these during the above mentioned 2.5 years.

Stop 3: Illegal tint and driving with a suspended license. This was 3 months after the above stop. Resulting in another suspended license because Richmond courts suck donkey balls and dont like to notify people (they say they sent notices to my NY address, which I havent liven at in 2 years at that time), which led to another suspension due to my dumbass county having some rediculous requirements.

Stop 4: 78 in a 60. Took online course. I was speeding, but not 78 (gps verified).

Stop 5: 85 in a 65 in Jersey. Got paperwork from them on July 9th of this past year, the paperwork had to be submitted on the 7th This ticket was absolute bs anyways, as I had to get past a truck that was trying to occupy my passenger seat, and going downhill + WOT = faster then usual accelleration. Cop couldnt give a shit.

Ive been pulled over many other times for "suspicion". Stop #2 was very lucky though, as I was in NY and was going to be spending the night in jail. Luckily my friends girlfriend was with him and the cop let her drive the car I was in back home.

Lols. Surprisingly my premiums have dropped some. Now $1500 every 6 months for full coverage, and the coverage really isnt that great. It would have been about $300 cheaper had I not gotten that damn ticket in Jersey. I cant wait to pay this car off so collision can come off.

bc u cant record police officers without them knowing about it, and they will say that they dont want to be recorded for their own protection.

1) Id request that they turn theirs off.
2) I have mine on for my own protection.
3) Even if I do turn it off, if I was pulled over for something I have the tape showing exactly what I did. If they say I was speeding, then Ill show the judge the tape, so on and so forth.

Read #3 above. I had a mount in my Civic. Its a very simple design, just two pieces of square tubing, some bolts, and a camera mount. You can mount it on the legs of the headrest, wrap behind the seat and above the center console. It doesnt get in the way and allows you to see alot. It can come in handy for alot of things, and since it isnt in your hands while your driving, its not illegal.

Ill try to find pics of my old mount. If not Ill probably post a DIY once I get around to building it.

And Grande - You are definately not alone in being paranoid. Whenever Im driving Im constantly looking for unmarked and marked cars.
