To Acura CL Type-S Owners, Do the factory floormats in your car say 3.2 CL, or they say Type-S also. My curiosity arises because my dealer "owed" me some front floormats for my 01 CL Type-S. I received them today and to my suprise, they said 3.2 CL, just wondering if this is correct?
If not im boxing them up and shipping them back to the dealer.

 

None were offered with Type S on them, You got the 03s (3.2CL). The 01-02 mats only said ACURA.
If you want black ones of either type, I'll trade you. The black mats look good with the tan seats IMO.

 

Sorry no Type S mats anywhere to be found currently.

 

You can custom order them from several mat companies, I've seen them online, quite a few. you just customize what you want on the mat, color, etc. You probably saw an aftermarket set.

 

I agree. I've had the all-season rubber mats in the front for the last six months or so and I think they look good.

I was thinking about getting some black mats for front/back as the'll hide dirty shoeprints better.

 

I've got three sets of the blacks, both types. I'm gonna put a set on ebay. My dealer wants $185 for the 03 CL set.

 

You've got some dealer there! He/she likes a big mark-up. AH Motor only wants $94.10 per set.

 

Not looking for trouble here, just to help out....there's a group buy going on at in the for sale forum. More people=less dollars. Type S embroidered in red.

 

Be smart and get some WEATHERTECH all season mats. They match all the interior colors (tan or black) and are superior to most all seasons! usually $85 shipped in most places

No I meant CL mats with the trademarked and protected Type S logo on them that Acura seems to defend and stop anybody they find out making them. Awhile back I ordered some and they were sold out...indefinitely. But there might be something new. I know there is a group-buy going on right now.....

Then why mention it? If there is still room in a group buy then why wouldn't you want to let people know. Isn't the idea behind a GB to get a certain # of people so that you can save $? Whatever.

My dealer told me today that reqular stock floor mats for my '01 CL are out of stock and no note in the computer as to when any will be available. He quoted $125 for all four.

Guess I'll go Weathertech.
Or do a Google search for the that group buy on some other Acura CL forum.

I'll miss that nice anchor hole that keeps the mat from creeping around.
