First time Zaino
Well, I'm getting some Zaino for this weekend. The last car I waxed was a Renault Gordini (nightmare) 15 years ago. I decided on ZFX and Z5 after a good washing with Dawn. Any advice on waxing technique is welcome. Thanks all.

I know SEARCH is down, but you only need to scroll back a week or two for PLENTY of info on this.
There’s more in the “detailing” section as well.

I called Zaino and he told me not to use z1 and to use zfx instead. I thought I should use z2 but he said that since my car is dark don't bother and just use z5. I might go for the leather cleaner. I'm gonna stay away from the clay bar, my car is new.

My car was ONE WEEK OLD and I still did it.
Read all the FAQ’s on the ZAINO Website for more info.
Yes, if you use ZFX, you can pass on the Z-1.
I don’t understand why they would have told you that you DON’T need Z-2.
I would say get some and switch back and forth between Z-2 & Z-5.

I read the clay bar description. Is like a wax or more like a car wash detergent?

You RUB it on the car to pull all of the impurities off the car before you start to apply WAX.

You're damn right it's worth it. I was hesitant also about claying. My car is white and after doing it, it took off all of the little brown, yellow and black specs that were all over my car. And after doing it, it was slick as hell. Just make sure you wash it with DAWN liquid soap first. And like Shawn said alternate between Z-2 and Z-5.

I can tell you haven’t read the FAQ’s because all of this is covered on the ZAINO website.
I’m willing to help with SPECIFIC questions, but please go there and read the general info first.
