First experiance with wheel spin and hopping in 2nd gear

I guess it's my inexperiance with all the power under the hood. I never had this experiance with a 4 cyl rear drive.

I figured I show my wife and kids the HP this car has under the hood. I've been good with breaking it in (1300 miles so far) and I figured I'd have a little fun seeing they have only been in the car once before today.

I got on it in first gear (tach near 5k) and buried the gas pedal into 2nd gear. The front tires spun and jumped all over the place. The payment was damp, not wet. I had to let off because I think I would have spun going into 3rd. I found another stretch of straight (dry road) and got on it. My wife freaked out and my kids were in a deep belly laugh! They loved the growl. My youngest daugter asked why mommy's Caravan doesn't do that.

haha, thats pretty cool! I love seeing the reaction of a "new" passenger when I really get on it!

I remember the first time I got on it with a few female friends in the car. I spun the tires a little making a turn and they asked what the flashing light was (VSA). I told them that without it the tires would spin more and make a loud chirp....I had to show them. Coming around a corner with the VSA off I gunned coming out of it and the tires spun and chirped like crazy. They all grabbed the holy shit handles and were a little scurrred. pretty cool stuff.

That's a lot of fun... isn't it? If the road is even slightly wet... you are right... its spinning well into 3rd!
