Finally, new ride on the way!

Hi guys - sorry it took me a while to get re-registered on the new server.

Well, bye bye 'Stang (has been a good car, will miss her this spring), hello Darkside! Finally got to drive a Z06 and I would advise NOT doing that - unless you've got access to $48,000 or so. Absolutely hooked - didn't even have to think about it. Bimmer dealer gave back my deposit (M3's aren't even starting production until 2/01 now) and my 'Vette outta be here shortly! Never thought I'd own one of the plastic terrors, but OMG, what a car The tests say 0-60 mph in 4.0 seconds - I believe it!

Now, anyone wanna race?

You're on Astro! What track? And what do I get for winning? Damn - we actually do need to do that. Would be a hell of a race. Ontario huh? OK - get Leaves tickets and I'm there. When's spring in your neck of the Great North?

Well there are 3 tracks near here, Cayuga, Mosport and Shannonville...I'm part of both the Porsche Club and HADA so I'm sure there will be a number of potential track dates...
Leaf's tickets are also easy to come by

perhaps sometime in a few months we can meet and droll over each others car btw, if I lose then my mechanic will have to race you

Thanks guys - I'm stoked! Should have VIN & TPW (Chevy-speak for production date) within the next week or so. Don't know if I can stand waiting though - want her now! Financing is done, insurance quoted ( only $1400/year! about what I'm paying now - go figure.... ). Just waiting on the boyz in Bowling Green I guess. Haven't decided if I want NCM delivery or pick her up in Memphis (dealership I'm using).

ROTFFLMGDAO @ Shawn!!! I'll have to ask the folks on corvetteforum.com...

CLPower - one of the few advantages to being a geezer! (36 years old, no points). Amazingly, 'Vettes are relatively cheap to insure and have good resale now Guess the insurance folks figure that only old farts can afford them and won't drive fast enough to spill the Geritol.

Not exactly true. Driving something that'll pull 1.0g on skidpad will most likely spill earwax.

Exhilarating ride your getting and y` all come back now..ya hear.
