Finally installed AEM on 6speed
Well, last night i installed my aem intake for my CLS6. Installation wasnt bad at all if you know what your doing. My main complaint was that I kept breaking those plastic clips on my inner fender wheel. I believe I broke every single one of them trying to get that inner fender apart. Does anyone know where I can buy those exact plastic clips without having to go to acura?
I also forgot to disconnect the battery afterwards, I doubt it will make much difference Im sure the computer will adjust itself. My impression after the install while driving is that its quiet under normal driving, which for me is 3,500rpms or below. I really didnt noticed any difference in power or noise with the windows up of course, its still cold in VA.

You can probably get the clips here:
http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org/
But for something like that it might be worth it to get 'em from a honda or acura dealer... they probably break 'em all the time and have 'em in stock... IMHO, it's worth at least calling a dealer to see what they cost...

I thought about the Icebox as well but chose the AEM based on what mmbers said about how it sounded, and I have no regrets... when it hits Vtec... WOW! and I think that the performance differences are marginal.

You can hear the constant hiss at idle with the 6speed. I finally got into vtech with my AEM, and its only loud for a sec, doesnt take much time to get to 7K before you have to shift.

As for the clips, I use to break them all the time on my 00 TL-p. I went to the dealer and picked up like 10 of them so I alwasy have them laying around and beleive me you will need them.
