After two disappointing attempts to try to have Stone headers installed on my car. I stopped all the BS and got Comptech headers.

Headers installed perfect without a hitch, which is probably not a surprise to any of you with Comptech already but it was a pleasant one for me after finding out twice that I wouldn't be riding home with my headers.

Again, no surprise for anyone who already has headers but the ride home was great for me! I could definitely feel the difference up high. Even got a little bit of torque steer in 1st gear

Took on a '03 or '04 v6 Accord Coupe (most likely auto) on the way home and had no problems walking away from him. Sweet!

Was definitely worth the money to get the Comptech Headers. Thanks to TL_Type_S who PM'ed me after I posted about my Stone header woes and sold me the set on his old TL-S.

Next mod: Uni-Chip!!!!

Congrats and enjoy!!! BTW - I noticed a slight improvement in gas mileage (2-3 MPG) for freeway driving with the headers.

 

i wish i could get headers but i couldnt put them to use maybe when my license clears up

 

I hope to have this feeling of joy soon. I purchesed comptech headers during the group buy that ccc.net had. I have been waiting since early February. Nothing yet.

what price did you guys pay for your comptech headers???? The shop that does my work for me says that they can do them for $1200 installed. This that good compered to the price you guys payed??

I got mine used from TL_Type_S, they were $700. You should be able to pickup a set used for around the same ... if you hawk the Black Market forum here and/or the For Sale / Wanted forum on Acura-tl.com I think you should be able to find a set ...

If you don't wanna go used, $1200 installed isn't a bad deal I guess. If you assume that its about $200 to get it installed at the dealer, $1000 for the headers is a pretty good price. Almost the same as when Juniorbean was doing the groupbuy for the CT headers.
