Finally I am done with the rear view mirror!

Ah, last night, around midnight, I was picking up a noble person from Logan Airport. The stupidly designed rear view mirror fell ...kept falling.. I was emberrsaed to even mention what car or brand of Car I am driving.

The person asked to stop messing with the rear view mirror and concentrate on driving.

Now time to drop my CLS to the Sunnyside to:

1) Replace the rear view mirror.
2) Reinstall correctly the driver inside door handle.
3) Paint the mufflers.

BTW, the rear view mirror used to wobble a lot, not it just falls and never stay in its place. Bad and cheap design!!

On the other note: Ah, I had the first drive in the Big Dig tunnel..(I lost the exist and had to leave the big dig and take 99 instead)

a person of religous or social status. The rear view mirror proved to be a safety hazard.

Your post makes it sound like you are running a cab service using your CLS? Are you?

Thats what I thought you meant but didn't realize "noble" people still existed in this country. Is this a friend of yours or something? Do you have to be noble as well to chauffer this person around?

One time they had to replace the window driver switch since the window Auto down was not working right.. Now the door handle that you use to close the door does not flush tight with the door trim nor does it flush around the switches plate ( where you operate the windows)
I will try to post some pics next week.

It took me 10 seconds to fix the mirror - a little dab of shoe-goo on the mountingpoint and i was good to go. It hasn't moved yet.

I never had a mirror problem on any car I had. Maybe your stereo's are too loud?

why are you using ghetto fixes for it?

its just a bearing type thing in the back that breaks... go to dealer... have it replaced. voila. nice firm mirror again

My mirror, even with all it's OnStar electronics in it, is rock solid. It hasn't needed any adjusting since the first time I adjusted it when I got the car.

That costs money and takes time. The little dab of Shoe-Goo just keeps it from working itself loose. The mirror will stay on just fine for a week or so, depending on how bumpy the roads are, but eventually it would move out some. After 10 seconds of "work" it's just fine.

Update:

The rear mirror get replaced yesterday. It is brand new again.

In addition, they painted the mufflers, they are now pitch black again.

To make it a better deal, the driver's door panel is scheduled to be replaced in 2 weeks.

Finally, a hand wash for my CLS does not hurt!

With the facility expansion and the renovation.. the service is back to excellent.

to Sunnyside Acura!

that's good news!!

the door panel really SHOULD b replaced...it's supposed to b one whole piece that's glued and fastened together...which is y the whole swapping of just the simulated wood and titanium trim won't work

1) I'm no longer under warranty.

2) My dealer is a 30 minute drive from me. I don't feel like spending an hour and 15 minutes just to repair the mirror when my fix takes 2 minutes including time to walk to and from my car.

3) I wouldn't consider a dab of shoe goo a ghetto fix. It looks completely normal, and i saved time. Not to mention the mirror hasn't come loose ONCE since i did that.

I still think it's funny that you US guys don't get the low washer fluid indicator. Whatzup with that?

And that my '03 6 speed was never offered with navi, even though every other Honda product in '03 was ....
