Finally.... Chicago Transmission loss :f *@kin pissed:

I'm not sure if this is the first in chicago, but maybe the first posted on this site.......... motherfcker.... Transmission went out today. It was acting weird this morning, RPM's erratic and shit... then today driving home from work same shit was happening and I was freaking out because the car was not picking up. The road was 50mph and my speed was dwindling down...... two cars swerved out of the way to avoid rearending me..... Then Check engine light went & the VSA light. Lucky me spotted a Budget Car Rental on the side of the road, the car totally stopped moving in the parking lot, I had to put it into neutral and push it into a parking spot. this fckn sux.

the car is not drivable, and there is no way I would of been able to take off the mods and reinstall the original parts by myself. Anyways, the car was towed to Ed Napleton Acura and they are going to look at it tomorrow. Acura's roadside assistance fckn RULES. The tow company got their in like 15 minutes.

I got ya beat... Mine blew out 3 weeks ago. I got my car back on the 3rd day. I had Acura roadside bring it to continental in lisle. They gave me a 2003 TL to drive so it was no big deal for me. I was real happy with how Acura handled it.

Crazy .. I've already had two transmission so far... and I know for a fact that I'm not the first in the Naperville/West Suburb area.

Ginesh... sorry to hear about your car man... I remember meeting you at one of the meets in Addison. I hope they don't give you crap about your headers and other mods... the Lisle, Continental Acura may give you crap about them. They told me not to mod my car or they wouldn't be able to repair future tranny failures.

Steve at Continental told me not to install the CAI or the headers... so they didn't give you any hassle w/ your intake??

Of course they are going to blame this shit on every other mod, but the bottomline is there is no way you can prove that headers or a CAI can blow a tranny. It's like my joke when I said that they'll probably fckn say my '03 lights screwed my tranny. Anyways, I got my headers, springs, and sways installed at Acura dealerships for piece of mind.....

edit: If financially feasable........this car is GONE in the summer....no more acura for me. it's over.

I take my car to Continental all the time and they have never said anything about my intake of springs/sways. They service the car perfect everytime.

Damn dude!!! That sucks BIG TIME!!! It's sad to see one of the nicest CL-S's around go away!! Why not get an '03 six-speed instead????? I'm sure the manual tranny's could handle a lot more than the POS autos.
