It's been my greatest pleasure in reading everyone's post on Acurazine regardless of owning a CL-P instead of a CL-S. I've enjoyed every DIY this forum has to offer that I actually even tried. I really didn't want to get rid of my CL but my mom strip me from my keys and took my car without giving me an early warning. If people still let me go to the meets I'd be happy to but if not than I can't really do much. Man I can't believe it's been a year and a half owning my CL-P and have yet to encounter any tranmission problems even though I drive my car as if I stole it. I would like to thank everyone that inspired me to mod my CL-P even though it's not a Type-S I still had fun doing it.

My mom decided not to let me get a new ride so I was screwed there. Not only does she have my car she also has her BMW 1995 325i which is being posted for sale at $5500. I asked if I can get the BMW to drive to school but she refuses to let me drive a BMW so now I'm taking the septa bus which really sucks cause I'm freezing my ass off. Can someone please help me out and see if anyone is willing to buy a 1995 BMW 325i Black on Dove Gray leather interior with 120k miles on the clock? I'll send pics to those who are interested. Hope anyone can help me out thanks cause if I can get the car sold I get the money to buy a car to drive around.

That sucks man, nothing you can do about it though. Maybe you can find a cl that's a little bent up for 5500. My friend is looking for a car and he lives in binghamton,ny. How far away from that are you? Does the bimmer run well? Anyway i will pass on the word and good luck with the transportation issue. Will your mom let you make the payments? that way it is technically yours but the title rules all.

 

nah I paid the car with my own money.....before the cl I used to have a beetle and it was totalled because of some drunk driver hit me off the road. I got 5 thousand out of the car from this guy that lives near me. I then got another 5 grand so a total of 10 to put down on the CL and I paid it slowly. Only reasons the car was under my mom's name was Insurance cause my name the insurance basically hit the roof. Other than that I was too young to have the title under my name.

The car runs is running pretty good. My mom owned the car for about 9 years and I got the car maintenanced throughout it's years of my mom owning it. If you need pics Just PM me whenever and I'll take pics of the car since it will now be garaged.

 

I'm really not very happy with your mother right now. I think that's a bunch of bullshit her taking the car YOU PAID FOR and all.

well that's bullshit no matter what you did, if you did anything at all. we all know how women can be . i had a similar situation when i was 18, i had alot of tickets and being a male of that age i paid for my 97 maxima but had to put it in my dad's name to get a reasonable deal on insurance. i'll pm you sometime in the next couple of days to get pics but for that price i might just tell my brother to get off his ass, he has a 95 j30t and loves it but a 325 is pretty sick so we'll see. is it a coupe?

Well I got nothing to lose now and plus she said the only reason why she's not letting me just take her bimmer is because it's more luxury or whatever than the Acura. So I'm just gonna have to go in blind and hope she'll give me something to work with.

The main reason as to why she took my car is because of the fact that her car has high miles and mine doesn't. When my car even shows a little sign of breaking down I hope on that problem like there's no tomorrow and get it fixed. I change my tranny fluid every 10k miles, Oil every 3k miles, and I also detail my car with some of the Zaino products I purchase which I believe is an awesome detailing agent. Some other reasons is because my car is a lot bigger and more roomier than her bimmer. When she needs to buy something big she always takes my car because for some reason it always fits my trunk which I don't really understand. Insurance between my CL and the Bimmer is crazy. The CL has full coverage and it totals up to $1036 a year where as the Bimmer with limited coverage and it's more expensive than my CL. Other than that I can't believe I got most of my mods done for no reason. I basically wasted money for all of them.....the custom exhaust, Megan racing headers, AEM V2 CAI, HFC, Remote Start Hornet Two-way pager alarm system, 20% tints, and the lovely Crank pulley. I'm gonna probably try to remove the intake because I have a bad feeling my car is gonna die from hydrolock with my mom behind the wheel. If I can't oh wellz shiet happens.

 

It felt really weird taking the Septa Bus to school.....I've raced this guy from my school before and beat his car so bad and now he's like talking trash to me saying at least now I can beat you. My class ends at 4pm on Monday and Friday and when I'm driving home I get home around 4:30pm and since I don't have my car and have to rely on the Septa Bus I get home at 5:45pm to 6pm not only that on Wednesday I have a lab so I don't get out till 5pm so I don't get home till real late at night Wow I miss my car so much it's not even funny.

there is no way in hell i would have let my mom or dad do that to me when my civic was in their name and i was paying for it, unless i was irresponsible and din't pay for it or something.

From what I gathered, the only reason you are having these issues is because the insurance is in your mom's name, but the car is in your name. Get your own insurance and tell your mom you need you freaking car back. From the list of mods, it seems like you should be able to afford the insurance. If not, then sell the mods to pay for it.
