factory car cover

I went outside to leave this morning and I looked over at my CL and could see black patches on top of the car cover. I walked over to see that the black patches were holes and I was seeing the car under the cover. There are actually about 8-10 dollar bill size holes and they weren't there yesterday. It did get down to about 0 degree's last night with some strong winds. Anyone else with the acura brand cover have this problem? I will take pictures tonight but I didn't have enough time this morning before work.

i have the cover but only use it when the car is stored indoors.

I did once use it outside while i was away, but it wasn't that cold yet. I don't think it could get frost-bitten and crack, but it may be a possibility.

I've got it on my car right now and it was freezing cold last nite with high winds. I didn't have that problem with mine tho.

Post pics when u get a chance. Did the holes look like it was worn, it did it look like the cuts were sharp?

I have the cover but my car is a daily driver, so I dont use it during the winter as the car is usually filthy...will use it more during spring\summer while the car is clean

A bird did that. You can tell by the fiber fragments and where its feet/claws grabbed onto the material. I've used car covers for years in the freezing cold and never experienced what you did. Holes in car covers do happen with repeated use over the years as the fabric gets worn thru normal use, but the holes occur where the fabric meets the curved/sharp edges of the car (bumpers, where windshield meets roof, trunk corners, etc).

to thinka bout it, with the lack of nesting material during the cold months, if I was a bird, I'd be picking at your car cover too!

maybe a bear came and humped the car doggystyle, and where the holes are is where he held on for support.

I got my cover from an acura dealership, i forgot which one. It may have been montgomeryville acura in PA.

buy it from a well known car cover company.... I bought mine from California car covers... best 200 I ever spent, saved my car from all kinds of fallout and scratches.

The place where I got it said to take it to my local dealership and that they should exchange it for me. Now I just have to wait until I can clear the 8" from today and the 10" where supposed to get on wensday
