extended warranty
My cl-s is about 6 mos. old with 10,000 miles and I am thinking of getting a acura extended warranty-
7yr/100,000. The dealer keyes acura quoted me 1295 with no deductable. Went to the acurawarranty.com website and their prices are similar. Are there any other alternatives to check pricing without going to a different 3rd party warrenty? Have heard of bad expierences with them.

sorry, no extended warranty is ever as good as the mfg, i tried to find if they cover diagnosis, most will not, also there is usually a cap on labor rates, can't find that either on there site,
you can take my advice i work at a dealer, and i have to deal with these non mfg extended warranties, believe me TAKE THE ACURA PLAN

Thanks for the feedback. I think I will get the dealer extended warranty. It is worth it to me for a couple hundred bucksas apposed to the alternative-cheaper part or labor. Will probably get it by the end of the week. One blown tranny or abs can ruin your day.

shop around, you can get the acura service contract from any dealer, do a search email them, (i had a customer when i worked the oldsmobile/cadillac service desk that always bought his cars from the dealer i worked at, but bought the general motors protection plan from a dealer in tx because it was cheaper)

Went to the dealer today and bought a extended warranty. It is 7yr/100,000 with zero deductable for 1170, a little cheaper than quoted at keyes acura.
The finance guy started higher on the price, it was a different guy than I spoke to on the phone. Anyway I brought a printout of the price breakdown from acurawarranty.com. At this point he walked away with the paper for a minute and gave me the price since I bought the car there like it was a good deal.
I don't know if it was a good deal but probably not that bad.
Also I was told that after the car is over the 1yr/12,000 mark the price goes up. Also am not positive why. Anyway that was my experience.
