Excelerate Performance: INGALLS Engine Torque Damper Groupbuy!!!

Excelerate Performance is happy to announce the release of the Ingalls Engine Torque Damper for the 01-03 Acura CL, 99-03 Acura TL, and 98-02 Honda Accord V6. We have decided to create a Groupbuy for this new part. Here is some info on the part:

A self-contained elastomeric shock that mounts on brackets between the engine and the chassis. It reduces extreme engine movement and dampens the motion, providing many benefits:
- Greatly improved off-the-line acceleration
- Reduced wheel hop
- Improved vehicle stability
- Reduced shock loads on driveline components
- Smoother shifting
- Reduced wear on exhaust system joints
- Less vibration transmission to the driver compared to polyurethane motor mounts.
- Less shock load, compared to torque straps and chains.
- Drifting – helps reduce shock loads when wheels gain traction.
- Reduces motor movement – decreases the chance of motor parts rubbing against the hood and frame.
Pricing is as follows for the Groupbuy (we need 20 orders to make this happen):
20+ People - $135 plus shipping
If you want to participate in the Groupbuy purchase the ETD from this link:

These are available to ship once we get the orders. This isn't about getting the funds to produce a part. It's about giving people a better price for a bulk order. If people want to order individually they can but it will be $20-$30 more for each unit.

Sweet, there available! Ingalls has them listed on there website now, albeit for quite a bit more, 191.50. So 135.00 is a pretty good deal. Its just who knows how long its going to take to get to 20 people. Oh, also for people looking for installed pictures, ingalls has them on there webpage on the installation instructions

In regards to the CT Strut bar and pictures see below:
Yes, the kit was proto-typed on a CL with the Comptech titanium strut bar brace so there should be no problems with that. The Comptech STB makes it a bit more difficult to install, because the ends are fixed and the strut bolts are angled in. Also, with the Comptech STB, they may want to purchase another strut tower bracket to space up the driver's side so the bar remains level and fits properly. The bracket could be trimmed down to just a spacer. That is what we ended up doing on our test vehicle. We do not have any untrimmed strut brackets at this time, unless demand warrants them.
You can see the pictures of the install with the Comptech STB in the instructions here:

Just placed mine.
Anyone notice a common link . . . so far most of the people ordering have been in on the motor mount issue for some time.
This, in my opinion is a no brainer for anyone:
- who's done power mods
- tired of busted motor mounts (won't totally eliminate them, but will help them last longer)
- want to reduce or eliminate wheel hop
- reduce stress on the exhaust flex pipe (I've cracked mine due to too constant flexing)
- add a new cool looking part

In light of the multiple orders that came in today I placed my stocking order. We have 20 units coming in at this price. After the 20 units it goes back up to the normal sale price of $155 plus shipping. I will have these parts in by late next week.
) dont see it, I made that part bigger.
Fries would be the one to ask, as his car has one too.
But, since its mounted up high, I see it helping much more then our (6MT) dampers that are down low.
The Accord guys that run them love them too.

can anyone answer the question about the comptech or cusco strut bars? And if I need to make a custom bracket is there any reason to buy this when i already have 2 nrg dampners, cant I just use those for this and have a shop make brackets.
Ill just email ingalls to get the answer.

IIRC in the other thread Ingalls was made aware by the mounting difference and they said to run a spacer on the other side.
I think the steel is 1/8" so cutting a spacer shouldn't be too difficult.

Here is the reply i got from ingalls on the comptech or cusco stb.
"Brian,
One of our test vehicles had the Comptech STB. It will fit with the Comptech STB. However, on this test vehicle we used an additional chassis (strut tower) bracket as a spacer under the driver's side STB mount to keep the STB level and mounted properly. We do not have these spacers available at this time, but you could purchase an additional chassis bracket and cut off the extra portion and use that as a spacer. If there is enough demand we may produce this spacer bracket.
Our product has not been tested with the Cusco STB at this time."
So if you have comptech buy an extra chassis bracket and cut off the overhang to fit. I went to ingalls sight and they have the chassis brace listed seperate. Here is the link with the part number. http://www.ingallseng.com/product.php?productid=20810 It is part number 93055-3 and costs 36$.
