engine tuning question

engine tuning question

a buddy of mine was talking about a chip that make the vtec engage it self at a much lower rpm any of you heard about nething like this?

the apexi afc neo would allow you to do that. although enabling vtec to engage at a lower rpm would not be good for your engine. gurus, correct me if im wrong.

well im kinda of new to all this but how would that be bad for the engine?
oh and i was wondering if there is anything that could be done to increase torque drastically. i have headers and pulleys and intake. i wanna stay na and im already planning on getting an exhaust

the AFC would help you get better HP and TQ from your newly added mods. the point that vtec engages at is set by the factory at the optimum point for performance on a stock engine. you may need to change the point since you have mods now but how much or where? not sure at all.

ultra light wheels... and engaging vyec early isnt gonna be bad for the engine just bad for power
