engine mods

I just got a new 2003 CL Type S and I was just wondering if you guys could help me out with some engine upgrades. Is there anything out there that is worth getting? Like the comptech exhaust and headers? How does the exhaust sound? Oh.......and has anyone ever had a problem with the AEM cold air intake? Thanks a lot guys.

Welcome. Headers and intake are a must. Exhaust has a great growl on startup, and acceleration.

my opinion I regret ever getting the exhausts($600 for nothing but sound, and looks ain't even that great), AEM CAI was the best buy I made next to my rims....headers is just too expensive ($1100) better off saving that for mods toward my next car

mharty21,

Headers on the Type-S are amazing....expensive, but amazing.

SicK TypeS,

I am doing the headers for a lot less than that--shipped!

still, 1g...i don't think the headers are for me...i don't like my CL as much as I did when I first got it...can't stop thinking about getting a diff. car, although CL is a very nice car, i guess it's too "luxurious" for me...

2003 CL-S with Comptech Headers

In my 2003 CL Type-S I chose to just go with the Comptech Headers and K&N Filter. If your looking for an extra boot in the harse without worrying about water problems and noise, this is the way to go. This is the bulk of the extra horsepower anyway. Ken
