Dealer Servicing in NY
I have a 2003 and I have a Injen CAI and Comptech exhaust. I have not brought the car in for service yet as I only have 3000 miles. I am wondering if anyone knows how Acura Of Westchester or Acura dealers in general respond to these aftermarket parts. Do they void the warranty? Should I remove them before bringing the car in for service? Any advice or help as to a more understanding dealership would be greatly appreciated.
your warranty can never be voided, only if they can prove that the aftermarket part you have on the car caused the problem your trying to get fixed is when they refuse to fix it....exhaust doesn't really do anything, it's basically for looks and sound, and intake is very minimal engine work...bottomline...you shouldn't have any problems...you should get a AEM bypass valve for the cold air intake just in case....
i got my car from acura of westchester and i HATE going there for service.....granted they really don't care about mods cuz when i brought my car there i had a CAI and a Exhaust and they didn't say anything, but i dont really like some of the people that work there...they are all snooty and carp..i've seen them treat people like shit.....i'd say if you can keep interaction with some of the staff to a minimum then they are good.....also curry acura kicks ass...they are relativly mod friendly and the people seem nicer there
shouldn't matter that it's a lease...if anything they might question you if you still have the stock parts and intend on puttin them back on when the lease is up...if they're a$$holes like mentioned above...but they really can't do anything about it to you cause you did nothing wrong, and the stuff you put on won't hurt the car in any way...
