electronics posessed or bad switch??

my car seems posessed lately.

first, my front driver side auto entry to the rear stopped working, then my headlight wont shut off. like if i run into the store for like 5 minutes, with keys in hand, i come out and sometimes the lights are still on.

today i was washing the car and had both doors open, i happened to look at the speedometer where the little car is(the one that shows the doors open..and it only showed the passengers door open, when both were open!

so i ignored it, kept drying the car and on the door frame, below the lock, there is a little sensor/switch that will turn the interior lights off and what not, and it looks weird. never took notice to it before but it wont push in, but it will go up and down like a light swithc. i looked at the passenders side and it pushes in, wont go up and down, and doesnt stick out as far. i took the screw holding it in out and that didnt really help to answer my questions if it was broken or not.

anyone here know how that switch should look operate?? do you think it could be the reason my lights stay on and seat wont work??

if you read this far, thank you.
ok thats enough i'll shut up now
