ebay headers

i don't know a whole lot about cars, so i was wondering what you guys think about these headers I saw on Ebay. Is this a reputable brand, and is the price good? I dunno, I just always thought Headers were around $1000.

Naw, for OBX's I think that is normal. Keep in mind that the auction still hasn't ended yet, and that price will probably be going up.

Edit: It's a buy it now. And I'm an idiot. I guess it's just a pretty good price for the OBX's. Comptechs run for like, a G. I'm pretty sure you can even pick up Alphawerks headers for less than $500

OBX's are likely to leak. They also have issues with the way they fit. Get Comptechs.

Well, not to disagree with the previous posts... but going on three years with my OBX headers... no problems (knocks on wood). No fitment issues either when they were installed. And yes, I bought the first run of the headers that supposedly were the most flawed....

I heard many good things about the AlphaWerks (last batch). You should check those out too. They go for around 500. I think they are better quality than the OBX. I did some reasearch and obx have fitment issues, some of them leak, and the weldings crack after a year. Keep in mind this is not a problem with all of them, but there is many people that reported these problems.
All headers come with warranty and they will send you a new one if you get a faulty one. However, installing them and taking them out again is pretty expensive...

I am glad you said that... BUT NOT ALL headers are CARB certified... I believe (could be mistaken) but the only headers I know that are CARB certified are Comptechs... and SHAM lives in California... he might not pass emissions testing out there.. I ... Might want to check into that SHAM.

and yes.. who the hell wants to put on headers and take them off?.. it is not a very simple task if you do the work yourself... and if you pay someone, it can get expensive.. 200-300 Each time!...

my advise:.. do it right the 1st time around.. get some Comptech headers (stay away from their so-called new springs, they suck) from Juniorbean or Excelerate... When you go to sell the car you can get ~650 for the used CT headers...

Only the Best wishes.

if you wait, and check the black market every 5 minutes you should find a deal on some used CT headers. honestly, i would rather have 5 year old used CT headers than any of the other companies brand new. just my opinion!

... search the BM.. you will find a good deal... remember ~600-650 shipped is what you are looking for.
