Well, yesterday after cleaning the car for a couple of hrs for the Holiday; I go to click the unlock button and can't open the drivers side door. The passenger door opened though. So I crawled in and tried to open it from the inside. No such luck. Tried the key, nothing. I've been the cool kid with the black Acura with shinny wheels getting out of the passenger side. BTW I'm 6'3", so its a bundle of joy.

So, I call Acura and ask if they would fix it, and that I dont think I should be paying for it. Blah Blah Blah, my warranty for that just expired. Its 89.99 for a diagnostic plus whatever the problem is. Yeah, the fuckin problem is my door wont open! I have a body shop next to where I work that I'm really cool with, so they are fixing as I write this. Hopefully it won't cost to much, but I know its a bitch to take off the door panel with the door shut. Also I am moving tomorrow and getting married and less then 2 weeks, so the door getting stuck was just perfect. Thx for letting me vent. Let me know if anyone has had a similar problem.

 

Some lady on PBS radio had the same problem with an old honda. The experts said there was no easy answer.(Those Italian brother, Clink and Clang?). You are doing the right thing. I supect the body shop has more experience in dealing with these issues.

I heard that one too. Her husband wanted to go at the door with a sawsal. If the door won't open i am sure they will have to get the inner panel off. You might have to sacrafice the panel.
