will yer tranny get fucked up if u downshift in sportshift to get that torque wen runnin somebody..? jus curious

 

what torque??? ...hehehe....no it won't. Your trans will still downshift if you floor it right...of course it will because it's supposed to and also safe. The ecu is programmed to not allow dangerous downshifts in ss mode...thats also why we can't go into first in ss mode...

 

however, after I downshift say to 2nd. less than 1-2 seccond and I hit the rev limiter!... It is just fast to go from 4-5 krpm to redline in 2nd!... Acura was wise to have an Auto-shift 1-2 in SS!

 

i've been upshifting and downshifting in ss for over 3 years now while the car's in motion, and i'm still on my original tranny

it's all in where u shift that determines how fast yer clutch paks bails on u

 

i respectfully disagree with u here...autoshifting was not implemented b/c of how fast u can get to redline...our ss was a widespread design offered long ago, and most car companies adopted the same technology, but it is now a dated design most car companies have done away with a long time ago, while Acura continues to offer it...this is where Acura fails to deliver...they r hella late to the game every time it seems
