Steering vibration....(guys w/ headers please chime in)
For those of you w/ headers ... does your steering wheel vibrate when the wheel is turned to the left or right at a stop, w/ the gear in drive?
Acura says my headers are causing the steering wheel/column vibration .. but it doesn't occur when the car is in neutral or park.
Are they being honest w/ me.. or are they avoiding warranty work ... i.e. new motor mounts... power steering dealie...

Ok .. sounds good. Thanks for the input .. i have an appt. w/ them on Thursday. I've been taking my car to this shady Acura dealer, the one i bought the car from .. and they've ALWAYS botched the small repairs... warranty issues.
I'm starting to take it to another, newer dealership that's got some new ownership, etc.
The funny thing is .. this issue only recently started happening w/ the vibration.. i've had the headers for over 6000 miles now...
Should I do a test drive w/ the tech? They usually have the young, clueless tech work on the warranty cases... i dunno how I can get someone more knowledgeable to check it out

Also ... speaking of rotors.. they've resurfaced my rotors TWICE now.. and replaced the pads w/ the new ones that supposedly don't warp the rotors .. (all done under warranty) ..
however, NOW, when i come to a stop applying the brake... i get a metal on metal grind on a spot on one of my front rotors that makes a cyclic grinding sound...
arrrgg.. isn't is WRONG to resurface rotors more than once??

no way in hell that headers will do that unless the installer fucked something up. Acura is Bsing you, take it to another dealer. And from now on show them that you are mechanically inclined and that let them no that headers cannot and will not efeect steering vibrations.
This may be caused by a disconnected vacuum line beleive it or not .Check the vacuum lines that are connected to the engine mounts make certain they are plugged in .If they aren't a vibration will occur at idle as the mounts are actually two chamber desings that are designed to absorb vibration at both idle and normal road speed .
As far as headers causing vibration with the wheel turned .....................Nah not likely .

nope, rpms stay at the same level .. i actually thought it was idling funny b/c of the intake or perhaps the filter being dirty.. but the rpms are locked in at one level ...
