double checking on shock/spring instal...

OK, I finally got in touch with Vertex (here in Northern VA) and got what I think is a reasonable quote for replacing the springs (with Comptech Sport) and shocks (with Koni Yellows).

I just want to confirm (before I go put 50% down for them to order the parts) that I do or do not need an extra kit with the Comptechs.

Also, has anyone else here from No. VA. had Vertex install shocks and springs on their car? From my conversation, it sounds like they don't do alignments--which I thought was an integral part of any shock/spring instal.

Thanks for your feedback.

You should wait atleast 2 weeks to a month for the springs to fully settle before getting an alignment.

should you get an alignment after installing just shocks?
sundance - no you should not need a camber kit with the comptech springs, get someone other than me to verify that but i have them and havent had any camber issues, albeit i have a TL-P

You get an alignment anytime with shocks, it's just the springs need to settle. Cambers are not needed for the comptech springs.

thanks all! I just wanted to make sure.

They quoted me $240 on the labor for installing both shocks and springs--which is SIGNIFICANTLY lower than any other place I've contacted here (Northern VA).
