By the way, Jeff emailed me about you and said you have a tracking # now in your email...can you confirm this?

Austin519
I got the tracking number in my email

Thanks for your help Austin. Let's hope they arrive safely now.

YOu should email Austin, and follow it with an email to Jeff. That's what I did. And Jeff replied to my email right alway with the tracking # of my shipment. IT was two day mail too, so I could be getting it this FRIDAY!!

He told me they were done 10 days ago, but ran out of tape and they were backordered on it. SO agains, email him.
I just sent an e-mail.

Austin519: Thanks.

I emailed Jeff about a 2 and a half weeks ago and he said they would be shipped out later that week.

2 and a half weeks later, still no sills, and no tracking number from Jeff. I emailed him about a week ago asking for an update, still no response.

i got mine yesterday

thanks austin for bringing it up to Jeff about the "ordered date" to make things fair for everybody else.

the only problems i had was the two-way tape was sticking out the sides, so i had to trim it a little. plus the plastic door sills on our cars have two "speed bump" type things that the aluminum sills go on top of and doesn't hold too well. but they do look cool

I got the same problem but only on 1 side. I think sticking some 3M industrial grade in between the "speed bumps" should take care of that.

Yaaaay...

mretif:
Did you talk to Jeff about it? That is considered damage in shipping...and can be taken care of if you haven't put em on...I suggested you do that when you first posted about the damage in transit thing...did you ever do it?

mantis23:
Yours are coming...they're just backordered that's all.

TypeSDragoon:
Dude I'm just glad to hear you have them and you're happy . As for the issue with you and Silverknight about the bumps in the sill trim pieces...the 3M tape should stick fine to the bumps...and shouldn't come loose. Do either of you use any kind of silicon based trim conditioner/cleaner? Because on just the ridges alone I had to pry mine off with a screwdriver... You can get a compound from Jeff to put on underneath it if it won't stick well enough...it nullifies the silicone conditioner pretty much...but are you sure you cleaned thoroughly? Also an idea...maybe try heating it up with a hairdryer first to make it gooier so that it will stick and then cool and stay....

Austin, I Think he sent me a new set next day because the sills came in a next day air box. The sill are bent a little but it does not bother me at all. It all worked out well in the end.

Seems like you guys are finally getting caught up on all the sills. Now that most of the orders have been filled; can newer people who missed the group buy still order them? I would definitely be interested if they are still for sale.

Silverknight:
You can actually request it from Jeff...but only if it's really needed. I'll say this to other people...you don't want to do it if you don't have to...it's a hassle. Silverknight I assume you use a silicon based conditioner?

Speedking:
Most definitely people who missed them can still order them. Do me a favor and email me at Austin519@aol.com, I'll fill you in.

Sorry, I forgot to his the "send/receive" button. You should have mail now. We will settle the Texas/Oklahoma thing at the Cotton Bowl! I'm not like most Sooner fans, I don't hate Texas. I DO think that Applewhite was a better quarterback than Sims. Just my 2 cents.

Last email I got was Aug 17th, saying they would be shipping. I just got back from NYC, & still nothing. Have the people who got that email got theirs? Or is it just me?

My sills arrived on Tuesday!

I installed them this AM, and they look great!

The only bitch is that one of them won't stay glued down on the plastic sill!

I cleaned the plastic with alcohol, so it's very clean.

One end keeps popping up!

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Hmm. You use a silicon or similar conditioner on the car huh? You can ask Jeff for primer, which you'd rather not use because it's a pain, and that should neutralize the silicon sealant and promote adhesion.

Scrib:
Email me if you are interested in buying them.

Dude...if UPS bent it you could've been sent a new pair if you hadn't put it on! You sure it's ok? Also...don't worry about the dings...they can be polished with some very fine steel wool (just not the lettering obviously). So they can look new forever.

Austin: Thanks for the heads up, but it's fine. IT was only bent a little at the corner, so i was able to get it straight again. Looks just find. About the dings, it's not like a scratch, it's more like a dent from my ring. But it's all good...i love the sills...
