Door Handle Illumination

whats up guys, i want to put LED's in the door handles. i want it set up so that they only stay lit for about 10 seconds after i hit the lock/unlock on my aftermarket alarm. basically i think all i would need is a relay that gives power for 10 seconds to be placed in between the power of the alarm and the power of the LED. does anybody know how i could accomplish this?!

My Legend had lights in the surround for the keyhole, maybe that would work.

Yeah just connect the leds to the light in the door and they will light up when you unlock your car with the remote, just like the interior lights.

Are you sure the door lights turn on. I think only the dome light comes on when the car is unlocked and the door lights only turn on when the doors are opened.

Are you talking about something like this?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33713

How hard/time consuming would something like this cost?

I am very interested but I do not have a clue how I would do something like this and the last thing I want to do is take my door apart.
