Wow.. that could be one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen. THAT should be the new anti-drinking and driving campaign. Damn.. I have the chills from that.

I guess these photos would even support a total ban on Alchoolic Beverages.. Let us outlaw that stuff.. Let us support forbidding all Alchoolic Beverages...

Prohibition didn't work the last time, it just created more crime. The problem is not with drinking (in moderation), it' drinking AND DRIVING! That's this message's whole point.

Highly shocking indeed.
EVERYONE should see that.

It’s truly amazing that today’s medical technology can keep someone like that alive, but I really don’t know if I’d like to live the rest of my life in that condition.

I’m usually against them, but a case like that definitely deserves a multi-million dollar settlement.
The frivolous ones should be tossed out of court, but I hope that particular family is well taken care of.

That happened here in Austin several years back.

A high school student crossed the median on a very windy road (rm2222) and hit her car head on. It was a big deal here in town because he was a rich kid football star who had been drinking at a titty club and was driving home in his $40k jacked up Blazer or something.

Everyone thought they were going to let him off, but he ended up serving time.

They ran a special report in the paper about her with a two-page spread of full color photos, like the ones on that site.

Really sad.

Damn, that was the saddest $hit I have ever saw. Imagine the girl was your girlfriend/sister/cousin/friend or whatever. Forget jail, I would have to kill the Focker!!!

That's sad, and like a couple others, I don't know if i could continue life in that condition.

The real tragedy is that people can still be shocked to see what mayhem a 2 ton rolling glob of metal and fuel can do. This should have been pounded into our collective consciousness decades ago. Trauma like this occurs daily and has been for the last 50 - 100 years.

Be safe and keep alert for those that are not.

Hmm. I thought Texas was tough on murderers. Only seven years and $20K fine.

What happened to ol' Mr. Lethal Injection machine?

sad, very sad.

why is it that it is usually the innocent people that get killed or seriously hurt in a DUI accident?

OMG!!! that has just brought me down hard!!! That is the saddest, most disturbing and nausiating thing i hvae ever seen!

What a shame for that young woman!!! Young, beautiful and living life.. taken away froom a dumb kid who thinks he is above the world... He might think its hard living everyday knowing he is at fault for making that girl the way she is.. but he should try living her life!!! No punishment is strong enough to repay what he has done to her...

sad thing is, that could be anyone of of us at anytime... nad it doesnt have to be our fault!!! Our lives are NOT in our hands!!!

That is some disturbing-ass shit!

For those who think some of us needlessly flamed others for being proud of "beating" a drunk driving charge...think about this the next time you're out drinking with your friends.

When I was in college, I was the clown who offered to give rides to people who had drunk too much. Some people thought I was silly or old and boring, but I was more than happy to get a phone call at all hours to pick someone up.

I agree with Slimey...this should not be such a problem these days, but too many people seem to not understand the potential consequences of their actions.

I work at a Treatment Center for Drunk Driving Offenders and we have the poster of this unfortunate vicitim hanging on our wall!

She consented to a campaign and the verbiage reads:

"NOT ALL DRUNK DRIVING VICTIMS ARE KILLED!"

It really has an impact!!!!!

Geesh that was sad.

Well now you guys know what I have to deal with. They come in the door all charcoaled up and burnt skin doesn't smell too good. Burnt hair is worse....

I feel bad for that chic... Seems like she is trying to make a difference with her life..... I hope you guys see that face when you decide to drink and drive....

Many of us should keep in mind how fortunante we are to live and breathe each day normally. Appreciate every waking moment along with the things and people which surround your lives. Don't take things for granted because one day, you may never get to see daylight again. Embrace your loved ones and hold them high in your heart. Sometimes, the unexpected happens and its just too late. Most importantly, don't regret and always let the past be the past. Try to look beyond those who may anger or upset you. I would like to remind all of you to live great, meaningful lives, full of love, happiness, and hope!!!
