Looking at the pics, the LEDs look kinda close together. Might save some time and money if they were spaced out a little more like on other stock taillights. But then again, I haven't seen how they look completely finished yet.

 

Other taillights don't have as deep a partition between the diffuser fins, so it's either wide spacing + splitting the diffuser sections OR tight spacing +centering the diffuser sections.

Going 'every other' would looking kinda...silly

Yes, although I’m primarily updating the TL thread moreso than here since I actually have the TL tails in hand. The latest updates, check the TL thread to see all the pics.

- Board will be PCB…NOT prototype boards since it will be cleaner and provides for perfect alignment with the diffuser
- Circuit layout for the turns is developed, currently working on an efficient means of transferring the image
- NEXT TOLLGATE: I am working on transferring the image to the copper board, which is my current sticking point. In short, the biggest determinant in price is going to be IF I can make the boards in house or if I need to farm it out.

Once the next tollgate is complete I’ll be putting together the first full set of boards for a TL. Once this is done, and I can map out the labor involved, I’ll be able to establish a price and put together a GD. The run will be for 10 sets, max, although I’m thinking more 5 than 10.
