Does our NAVI use GPS signal from Onstar?

Or does it have it's own antenna and module?

OnStar using Analog cell phone signals. Which by the way won't be working much longer.

OnStar also has it's own GPS receiver. There's an article in this months Popular Science that shows how to turn it into a GPS receiver for your laptop since it'll be worthless at the end of the year. I'd scan the article for everyone but I left the magazine on a plan back from San Diego a couple weeks ago. I'm sure someone here subscribes to it.
