i was looking in the TL side and there was a recent thread (nov 07-present) about how all the TL guys get compliments all the time. i've only ever received 1 compliment on my car .. but then again, my exterior is bone stock except for a trunk lip spoiler..

i'd assume the guys with the kits are doing well though (TL KIT )


but.. what about the rest of you guys!

 

I got a compliment on my SMR CL-S 6MT just last week. It was a guy in his 70's (I think) who was staring at it when I came out of the store. He had never seen a CL before.

He was driving a 86 VW cabriolet wolfsburg edition that was in incredible condition. I asked him how many miles he had on it........................ 325K

 

i get complaments on my car all the time, but i think its mostly because of the color, i have pimp daddy gold, all the brothers love it with the chrome wheels

 

My neighbor who is in her retirement years compliments my car on a regular basis.
Last time she said that girls like me not because of my car though. Maybe I should stop pouring money into it.

 

so far... it's old people that like our cars.. =(

 

All my friends like my car and compliment it all the time.....my car isnt even moded, but i guess its because its in such good condition.

 

I got a compliment when I had the oil changed @ the dealer. They said for being 8 year old car everything still in good shape interior/exterior wise It's a good thing I guess since I've never waxed the car, just regular wash and use meguair products for the interior

 

i get compliments every now and then on how clean it is, but most of the time theirs kids who are just looking to race me talking about how their mustang is so fast..not for nuttin but my friends talks crap about my car all the time...the kid has intake and exhaust..my car is just as fast as his but i dont talk shit...these mustang kids always gotta run their mouths

 

Got compliments from 2 generations, a guy in his 50's asked "What kind of car is this?" I replied "It's an Acura" He said "This is a real nice car!" Sometime later, a girl in her teens yelled "Nice car!" as I drove by Sometimes it pays to keep your car clean........

 

i get compliments all the time! just about everytime someone new gets in my car i get compliments from them, mostly the ladies though. they like how clean i keep it, doing the LED dash conversion would just set it off though!!

 

Not really a compliment, but a lot of people that see my car are very surprised to see that it's a 6spd.

 

My neighbors always compliment my car and sometimes i get compliments from others.

 

I notice other drivers staring at it all the time, some smile or give me the thumbs up.

 

i get more looks than actual compliments... but there have been a few people who've come up to me and said hi. Mostly older (meaning mid 30's and higher) ladies believe it or not... not good looking ones either.

 

i get compliments often, but i agree i get more people astonished to learn its a six speed..

i think its mostly because of how clean and new looking i keep the car... i cant remember the last time on complimented someone on their dirty ride...

 

I get a decent amount of "nice car" comments. I've noticed it happens a LOT more since I dropped it.

I get it alot, when i drive by the downtown of charlotte on the nights when there is alot of pepole like fridays nights and saturday nights, I also get it at the local gastation where i wash it and dry it. I love my CL-S 6spds..

 

I get it from time to time. Although I do get a lot of people surprised that it's a six speed. They also always underestimate the power of it.

Just the other day the guy who installed my car said he really liked the car. However, that just made me suspicious he took it for a bit of a joy ride...

I'm sure with a bit of tint, spoiler, rims and lowered one would garner a lot more compliments. (I'm bone stock at the moment)

 

do you still want the tein coilovers? i havent heard from you. $450 is cheap as hell, i need to get rid of them soon

 

Same here alot of comments I love rolling up at a light just after i wash her and they just stair... alot of people ask what kind of car it is... i just laugh and say thanks its an ACURA... then they get that bug-eyed look ... its sweet. All i have is chrome rims, 20% tint, painted grill and debagged in the rear. Our cars are SEX ON WHEELS. "all colors"

 

i get some compliments from time to time, a lot of highschoolers who appreciate the clean look and the grown man thing goin on, and alot of honda drivers/enthusiasts. And as for people underestimating our cars, i love it, i think its one of the biggest sleepers out there.

Like (ERNIE01ACURA) I too get compliments all the time (no exaggeration) I believe it is because of the color (PDG) which is a definite eye catcher ( hate it or love it!!). When stopped at a light or while moving..I see people lookin all the time (big confidence boost). I occasionally get a head nod or thumbs up from folks (especially at gas stations when its gleaming, clean and the light hits just right! If you couldn't tell i love my car...LOL

 

I get more comment's like "what kind of car is that" or "I didn't know they made a coupe other than the rsx or integra" and then I have the other guys just saying "its a nice LITTLE car" i'm like wtf little.

Anyways living in socal, there isn't that many 2nd gen CL's here. At least what I have seen

 

none here. everyone stuck up about there civics clipse and lifted trucks

 

Man I cant even tell you the amount of props my CL has gotten.

 

I Got the San Marino Red!!! I get looks all day from co-workers and people around town when the ride is clean!!
I do have friends that have s2k's,g35,G37,TL-S... Etc... Soo they don't compliment it too much..
And they are richer than I am so their cars are more modded..

Oh wells... i still love my CL-S... and i still keep up and take over some of my friends soo its cooll...

 

I got props on my exhaust twice (RT Cat and Magnaflows), both after deaths from an M6 and a modded Mustang GT. I get looks and props all the time though. One time this guy at the gas station came over talking about how he was going to get a CL and asked what mods I had, I saw the same guy on the eway a couple months later and he flagged me down and yelled out the window to say he remembered my car

 

In a world here that has a ton of $ cars no one really pays any attention to my car.

 

I get compliments all the time. Especially with how it sounds. My friends dad just talked about it yesterday as a matter of fact, sayin' that it was really nice and askin' how much I paid etc.

And mine even has a crack in the front bumper and she still looks good.

I get compliments about my CL from men and women alike all of the time. She is a damned fine looking whip if I do say so myself.

 

I've received several compliments on the color (everyone loves ABP!), but most people don't even know what kind of car it is in the first place. I've gotten a few "I like your Acura, what model is that?"

 

There was a few times when people took pictures of my car and posted it up on this forum.

sorry for the super bump but i got pulled over in Ridgewood NJ last night for not having a front plate and the cop, a younger guy, said my car looked gorgeous haha

i think the only way he knew it was an '01 CL was from my regristration and insurance because i'm fully debadged

 

This hot ass cheerleader said she loved my car the other day!

 

I had a kid ask me if it was a 6 speed. He was driving a mid 90's Celica but he definitely knew what he was looking at.
