Do Honda Accord parts work??!?

I was shopping for a Carbon Fiber trunk lip spoiler that I saw in a catalog. It turns out that they don't make it anymore. But they do carry the one for the Honda Accord 2 door coupe of the similiar body type as the 3.2CL. The back end of the Accord is bit different, so would this fit?

I went to my friend's Honda Accord to find out, the top of the trunk from left tail light to right tail light measures the exact length on both cars, but it seems that, from a side profile of the car, the angle that the BACK end of the trunk lid curves is a little more on the 3.2Cl.

Knowing these random facts, can anyone tell me if the CF lip for the Accord would fit the CL, or if its just a gamble to actually find out?

turns out you can't copy and paste pictures here from google, so sorry can't get any images.

If any wants to help me , you can type in "2002 honda accord coupe" on google. since you know what the 3.2cl looks like, you can judge from that...

As far as trunk length across the car, the dimensions are very similar between these cars. the accord coupe trunk is very flat, but along the portions supporting the spoiler, so is the CL. The only thing you would have to worry about is overlap from the spoiler at the curvy part of the trunk/backend.....

Imagine this D as the back of the CL. If a flat spoiler is applied to the "standard" spoiler location, it may have less trunk support and slightly hang off at both sides. This is just theory, but I am sure the discrepencies would not be too blatent. If so, maybe you could position it back slightly farther on the trunk? I think it would be worth the effort, and worse case scenario you could sell it for a minimal loss.

I like this guy!! Never thought of it that way, should fit like a glove, except for the sides, which no one would really notice when I speed by! I think i'd buy it if i can find someone I could sell it to if this backfires in my face...
