Did some 90 minute cd tests today

Did some 90 minute cd tests today
My 90 minutes cds finally came in, so I burned a cd with 89:56 worth of music on it. 
My plextor 24x10x40 burned & played it back okay.
Although around the 73 minute mark it started to get noisier, then around the 80 minute mark the noise was loud enough to be distracting. It did manage to play the whole thing, but it was really struggling with the last few minutes.
Then I popped it out, stuck it in my 6x dvd drive, and that drive went nuts. It started to make these THWACK THWACK THWACK sounds, like it was trying to kill itself.
Well, I jammed it in the CL anyway, to see what happens.
It played great! It was extremely clean until the last 3-4 minutes! Cool! 9 hours of music in the CL!
