much improvment over plain looking stock. I wouldn't mind have those.

Guys: Smitty advised me to delete this post, which I will in 24 hours. The answer is that it probably adds about an ounce per wheel. See the post that starts with "OK, what am I doing wrong", and expect the mounted wheels before Palm Sunday.

OK: I will let both posts stand. This is really drawing a lot of attention. Full details are on the other post, but here is the short story: $125 per wheel, you pay shipping there and back to Pittsburg, CA. think: San Francisco.

This is a powder coating process, and I am a powder coater of 15 years. I could do this myself, steps 1 and 3,but I cannot do the vapor deposition process, process number 2.

Three finishes are available. Standard "bright chrome", "satin chrome" ( a low gloss clear is applied over the chrome coat), and my "black pearl."

Here are your links, and Gary Goodrich is a nice guy to work with:

www.goodrichtechnology.com

gary@goodrichtechnology.com

SEE THE OTHER SITE: "OK, I don"t get it...". And tell Gary that Dave says "hi."

Smitty: THANK YOU, YOU MAGNIFICENT PAGAN GOD for posting my pics. How much, Smitty, does it cost to drop the thing. I am pretty tapped out right now, but it can be done.

All others: see the post "OK, what am I doing wrong?" for the full story of one day on newly powder coated wheels. Finally, people stare at my car, and I like that.

And Smitty: nice of you to replicate the pictures on both posts. You, are a classy guy. You can bury me anytime. Get this: for my 50th birthday (I am 51 now), my folks bought me a grave site. How do I take that? Dave, and again, APPRECIATED!

Now, back to my original question: why can I not post a pic? I do it several times a day using Microsoft Outlook.

No problem

I can get you a real good deal on a Casket..LOL.

No problem Dave, glad I could help you out and on Behalf of everyone at A-CL, I would like to thank you for bringing this newly advanced Powercoating application to our attention.

As for posting pics.. You need to host them somewhere on the internet.. they either have to already be found on the internet or you have to have a web page with the picture already on it..such as www.imageevent.com .. I pay 24 bucks a year for the web space.. you can see my car at the link at the bottom of my Sig.

Right click on the picture you want.. Go to properties, then highlight the Address (URL).. then copy it.. Then come back on here and then click the IMG button in the vB Code and paste the link.. It is that easy.. any other questions hit up my e-mail.

Smitty

Smitty: You are very cool. I'd like to meet you sometime. When in PA, I like "quacker steak and lube", near Pittsburgh, Pa. Although not anticipating a trip there soon, if I do, I will alert you.

Nashua: If I said that they gained 20 to 30 GRAMS (about one ounce), I would probably be overstating the weight.

Smitty has a pic to post of the wheels with the center cap in place with the acura "A" in pressure sensitive metalic silver to match the body of the car. I probably shouldn't have used the flash.

Those "A" emblems, I had sixteen of them made ($25), I to get them correct and centered, well, I went through fifteen of them.

Thank you Smitty once again, and Nicky: how you like dem wheels? (when they get posted)

Smitty: AOL decided to heist your buddy message. To quote Sean Connery, out of hunt for red october: "mr puceliil; one pic and one pic only please." Probably shouldn't have used the flash. Sorry, and thanks for posting the pics!

I have been doing some e-mailing to Smitty via regular AOL. I don't want to put him on the spot, but it sounds to me that there will be another set of CL wheels on the way to goodrich technology some time in the near future.. Smitty, if you do this, are you going for the black pearl, the traditional bright chrome look, or the soft satin chrome look? The "soft satin", I think, is a low gloss clear coat over the bright chrome.
