Detector Help

Are Valentine radar detectors any good? Planning on buying one after I got my first speeding ticket in 5 years.

And don't listen to the Escort users with their pagers they have mounted in their cars... I mean radar detectors.

Neech, do you really need the Valentine1 with the Bel LaserPro 904 Front & Rear Laser Jammer?

How do you know the laser jammer even works?

Just Remember .. RDs including V1 are not bullet-proof protection. You need to know how to use it... and the way you speed and scout the area before running... On long distance trip it is very helpful but do not be the stupid rat leading the pack...

I've had two sets of laser jammers, the Blinder M-10 and now the Bel. Both were tested with the local police dept and worked near FLAWLESSLY. They were only able to get a reading when I was nearly point blank with them. Any one with laser detection built into their detector should now that 9 times out of 10, your laser warning is you being shot and shortly there after being ticketed, no matter how good the detector. That's why I have a jammer.

I've beaten laser traps twice w/o the jammer and that was enough. I needed more defense to level the field. It’s saved me for a fact 4 times since using them and many more times where I don’t think I was traveling fast enough for them to bother, but who knows.

You should rather buy an Escort pager.....errrrrrrr I mean 8500 detector. I've been using mine for a long time and it's great. Lot less false alarms in city areas.
