was coming home from work this afternoon ,when i noticed a blue cl was manovering thru traffic trying to get close to me. After cutting a few people off he ended up beside me. he was reving her up, (sounded like he had a intake) so i didn't bite at the first light and at the change of the light he smoked her off i noticed that he had semi -debadge himself but left the type-s on. came to light #2 i figured that i would ease off the line and hammer it around 20 mph i estimated that with the light ahead i would have to back her down at 60mph.
at the change of the light he got a half a car jump on me with his tires still spining-at 20mph i floored it , you should have seen the look on his face when the supercharger kicked in--- at 60mph i firgured i was at least 6 truck lengths ahead and then i shut it her down.

at the next light he turns and give's the thumb up, i return the the thumbs up back-- was fun while it lasted i don't get to many runs in with the lightning.

truck has been chip, a #4 pully, intake and traction bars ''shift kit to come'' figure i'm running mid to high 12's.

lots of action with the cl (headers, intake, pulley's). but the cl dosen't move like the lightning.

 

Nice kill! Lightnings are no joke. I got raped by a modded one and he gave me a huge jump.

 

thanks man, i'm thinking of debadging the truck, most people look and than some in the car gives it away, last night i came beside a gt mustang and he was ready to go till the guy in the passenger said don't do it your going to lose,

weekends i take the cl out,, i difintly want to supercharge the cl

Hows the gas mileage on the lightning? how big is the gas tank?..just curious.

 

its rated at 12/16 but on my last trip i was getting 20.
i think last fill up i put in 85 litres so probably a 90 litre tank.

the intake and chip brought the milage up --as long as you don't activate the supercharger

 

i would say the high school kid would be driving the lightning. i see alot more kids in those things than i do in cl's.

I raced a lightening on the highway like a year ago. It was super fast from 80 to about 140. He was totally killing me but I stayed in it and no shit I caught him while i was riding the 148mph speed limiter. You should have seen the look on his face! I looked it up later and sure enough top speed is 145 on the lightening. I can't remember if that is electronically limited or drag limited.

Last time at the track, I lined up against an L w/ ET Streets, CAI, and exhaust (stock pulley). His friend bet my friend $10 that the L would take me Me GT LOOKS bone stock. 16" rims, no spoiler, stock ride hieght.

I tree'd him good and he started to pull, but once I hit 3500rpms in 2nd, I walked him.
