well i think the dents on my stock headers were from a previous user not hitting the right jack loaction. the dents on my ct headers were from bottoming out/hitting something, and apparently from droping a engine on top of them when the previous owner did an engine pull with the headers still on them. I have to say, it is quite hard to dent headers.

OK, so i got the headers installed yesterday. Yeng, my installer was real down-to-earth and a real cool guy. he charged me 75 for the 4 hour install but I gave him 100 because he just worked so hard.
At initial start up, the burnoff did generate smoke but it soon subsided. At idle, differences were very little, maybe a slight resonance and deeper/louder exhaust tone but changes were very subtle.
At take off between idle and about 1750 rpm, there is a tone change in the cabin that noramlly i wouldnt hear. it seems like a whine almost like a supercharger. its not very loud but enough for me to notice. the same sound can be reproduced when you turn the steering wheel all the way to left or right as your driving into a parking space or so. the whine is loudest then. and it could also be heard at just rolling idle speed, meaning car in drive without steping on brakes or accel. these are the only noticable changes during normal driving. is this normal for everyone else?
during hard acceleration, the exhaust sounds louder, deeper and more prominate in the cabin. almost V8 like.
overall, i am impressed and happy. the install went good. sounds like the dents didnt make much of a difference as the changes are noticeable. sound changes are very good and much to my liking. and the only thing im concerned about is the whining or is that resonance? but its good i only hear it at limited times.
pictures will be uploaded soon.
this also gave me a chance to find how to get my radio code since the pervious owner never passed to me. and I have to say, the "holding 1-6 down, turn radio on and it displays serial number" works.

hey guys, dont worry i didnt forget about the pictures. its just been crappy weather in cali right now. just wanted to share some more driving impressions with you guys.
vtec is much more noticeable now and a lot louder too. you can really hear the engagement point. i thought the engagement point was good with my resonator removal but now its almost like night a day.
and in first gear around 2k-3k, accelerating quite hard, i say about 1/2-3/4 throttle but not spinning tires, the exhaust/engine tone is a beast! its a roar like a V8!
before headers, it would be a nice low toned bubbly sound from the torque, now its just a all out roaring blunt sound of power haha. i havent push it that hard on 2nd gear since its much easier to reproduce that in 1st, but im sure its about the same. and as you can tell, im very happy about the install because of the added power boost and the exhaust tone/sound change that i was most excited about.
as for the MPGs, well like everyone who installed headers before me, i have my fun testing it out and my MPGs dropped about 1 MPG from last count but i hope after i get adjusted to the headers and start driving more like my old self, to see an increase and ill try to keep you guys updated.

ok, i know its really really late but here are the pics of the install. i wanted to wait till i got the pictures of my stock headers so i could post them up all together.

Out with old and in with the new

anyone know what is stuck to the inside of the stock headers? carbon deposits?

Yeng working on the car

Yeng, who did an awesome job and worked very hard
Dent from my stock headers. notice they only affect the front 3 cylinders as opposed to 2 seperate dents each one affecting the front and back 3 cylinders in my CT headers. thats why i said that this single dent was probably worse then the two dents.
