Someone did mentioned that DC will make header and exhaust for Honda/Acura & will be avail about in November. Can anybody with credible knowledge shed some light on this?

NO that is not true. your local speed shop is full of crap. I have personally taken a visit to Comptech along with several other folks from the Bayarea and folks from SHO in LA and we saw the production line where they make the headers... The welds are TIG welds (the expensive and reliable kind) and they put all the pieces together in their machine shop in El Dorado Hills near Sacramento. Really high quality work... That's what you are paying for. And if you make the debate that oh they don't bend their own tubing yes they don't b/c it's expensive and why do it yourself when you can contract it out for cheaper. They have done all they can to cut the price and keep the price down. Please don't get me wrong... I'm probably the most frugal auto enthusiast there is. Everything I got was purchased with some kind of low price... with lots of haggling

 

I would more than glad to buy the prototype racing headers if it would be at or lower price than Comptech's and produce more power....

JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH DC.....they said though they did look into developing headers for the v-6 platform they have since scrapped any plans to move forward... and that they had never had the prototyperacing JIG nor did they intend to use it

That sucks given that the info posted on Accordv6.com states that the new headers would be released in November...

 

This sucks..not good..I was looking forward to getting it next year too..
