A couple days ago, I noticed the "Maint Required" light (directly underneath the car battery light) come on once I start the car. Forgive my stupidity, does this mean the battery needs maintenance or some other part of the car?

see http://www.geocities.com/gamesmgr/chod/acura/#Driving6 It's just an indicator suggesting maybe you need to service your car. for example you need an oil change etc. It's set up by Honda to come on every 3,000 miles or so to remind you to change your oil. If you know your car is fine then just reset it.
