Dash Light Diffuser

Hello,

I put in a blue LED dash and odometer conversion (from ledauto here on the board) in my 02 CL-s awhile ago, but it did not seem to be bright enough for me. I talking to the person the runs the site, and he told me I would need to take out the diffuser. Has anyone done this? Is it hard? I have tried to find a DIY but I cannot find one. Any help I could be would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

it's a filter that changes the colour of the led as you see it.. i believe you can use acetone on it.

Do you have to remove the needles when you pull it out or just undo the connectors?

if you look on the back of the little chrome motor you will see two small tabs. these hold the gauge to the computer board. bend them up and then the gauge will pop off. then just use your fingers to separate the gauge from the back plastic. the needle does not come off and be careful not to bend it.
