Damn Polargs
Damn Polargs
well i guess my time came. one of the fog light bulbs gave out on me but its been about a year since i put them in. and this is with me driving with lights on 24/7. now im wondering whether i should put both back to stock or only the busted one back to stock.
Mine burned out a while back too.
I tried some orange bulbs to make it look like fog lights. Didn't like the look.
Tried the stock bulbs again. I had forgotten how sh*tty they really looked.
Ordered another set of Polargs and installed 2 new ones since they change color as they age and the coating cracks.
It seems there is no good option for us here!

I originally had the M6's and they lasted me about 1 year. I bought the PIAA W2's and I honestly think they look better and are of higher quality.

I bought some of the 4 LED cluster ones that are the right size, and not only were they a lot dimmer than the polargs, they burned out in less than 2 weeks. They sucked big... now maybe I got a bad batch or brand, but that was enough of that experiment for me.

Your not the only one buddy. I installed a set of the same leds in my friends CLS. We put leds in the map, door, trunk, driving (fogs), license plate and everywhere that involed a 168/192 type of bulbs (very expensive and useless project). Well, it would seem that LED light clusters are NOT for outside use. All the bulbs that where exposed to outside elements, like the license plate, driving lights, and the door lights (although not as quickly as the rest) all burned out VERY quickly. Yet the EXACT same bulbs that are on both of our map lights and trunk still work.
I have LED clusters myself and frankly will never use them again except for the map lights. I'm in the process of changing out the trunk light as we speak because a single cluster is NOT bright enough to illuminate the entire trunk.
