Damn Dealers.....

Ok guys...the saga continues....as CL-S enthusiasts maybe you guys can help out on this...here are my options

1)Silver/Black Acura CL-S
W-Navigation and Spoiler
50 miles on the car
dealer within 10 miles sale price--$27,500

2)Silver/Black Acura CL-S
W-Navigation and Spoiler
6000 miles on the car
dealer within 50 miles sale price--$26,500

Which would you choose? I am very torn...

Assuming you can't get a better deal on a new black CL-S, I'd take the $27,500 one =)

#1 for sure .... 6000 more miles is kinda like 6 months used (if you think of 12 month/12,000 mile mark).

hmm

I guess you guys feel the lack of miles compensates for the 1000 more...ok. Question number two---there isnt any way that the dealer could turn the odometer back is there?

Good question...

Is it an Acura dealership?
If so, I highly doubt they would tamper with it. Also I'm sure there are ways they can tell whether the car's odometer has been messed with.
I guess I would probably get a reason why #1 only has 50 miles on it (returned or test drive car)??

It's quite possible that if they have a lot of cars, that vehicle could just have been overlooked at random.

well...

basically the car was just sitting there....I was in this dealership before and he never showed me the car before because he thought it was a 2001...in addition they initially would not come that low on the price anyway until they heard another dealer was willing to do it and I was going to buy right away---I put a deposit on the one with 50 miles.....thanks guys.

Go for no miles.. 16 cents a mile off is not enough. The Gov. gives us something like 32 cents a mile now..

Dude! The one with 50miles & $27,500

I'd wouldn't save a grand for a 6000 mile demo car!

Dont get either, get a totally new one, you dont want those 50 test driven miles. Also NAV is very cool thing that will not only get your places, but attacts alot of attention. Plus nav can be converted into DVD as well. But 26,500 is a little much for that car.

Well,
I cant really fret about 50 miles....thats nothing...actually it has 35. As far as new(2002)...well...I could not find one for less than 29,000 here in nj...I am paying 27,500 for a car with spoiler and navigation system.....a similarly equipped 2002 would run me at least 31,000 if the dealer had NO markup at all...and thats not going to happen...not in nj...I will save the 3500 dollars and get exactly the same car (the 2001)---I tend to put 18000 miles a year on the car so I now have an extra year to play...

Choice number 1. But ask dealer for the extended for $800 and see if they go for it.
