Alright, i was going to put the 99-01 tl lip kit on my car and mold the front and rear pieces.

now i'm having second thoughts. what about custom fitting another bumper. maybe the e46 m3 or the e96 m5. any thoughts or suggestions what i should do. i'm open to other ideas also. i just want to see something not done ever and getting it done just be spice it up a lil.

i'm sick of seeing all the same cl with just drop, rims, exhaust. me likes diversity.

there was a guy with a White CL who fitted an entire 2G TL-S bumper.

also, there was a thread awhile ago where someone spotted a CL w/ a 3G full body being fitted.

 

well im speaking of only non acura bumpers since thats the directoin he seems to be going.

 

I'm getting a body shop here locally to do a custom bumper with an aftermarket R34 bumper made of urethane as we speak.. Look's very similar to how Essarek's car used to look in gray now that I think about it (minus the widebody which makes it look very different)..

those are only the recent "kits" that have come about in the last couple years.

I doubt there's any OG members that still roam around these parts, but I think I've seen them all, and there were 4 that were non-Acura bodykits put on our cars:

oonowindoo's custom kit (car was stolen) - I have pics but not on my work computer

pimpin white cl-s's (now drives a black TL-S) that he sold to khmer co's (full custom) now painted black

also, i don't actually remember there being a white CL with an 'entire' 2G TL-S bumper - IIRC - it was 1/2 a CL bumper and 1/2 a TL bumper with a molded TL front lip.

 

if you're talking about acura tl front lips ('02-03), there's a handful:

charlesnguyen's CL (1st member to put the TL lip on the CL)
CLS2001_97124 (ABP with full TL kit)
AcuraJL (PDG crazy audio system, full TL kit but his front end molded/blended looked like a gilette razor with all that home depot chicken wire)

if you're talking about the '99-01 tl front lip there's only a few:

and me (i'm having the front bumper done now, but i havent' decided if i will put it on or not, or if i will end up selling it to a fellow member here)

not sure about the bmw models lol. the NEW m5 bumper or something. i just thought of this since i met a guy who will be my fiberglasser for my car audio business. he does everything and learned from the guy who fabricated all of alpine cars.

anyways he does custom bumpers and everything and thought i'd be hot to custom mold a bumper. of course we'll have to use the cl bumper's top half... but i'm not sure if it would look nice with say an m5 bumper since it's not pointy. not sure if it'll flow well with the car. it seems to look fine on the cars above

 

God be carefull having fiberglass on your car! I went thru a phase to where I had a complete fiberglass kit on my CL-S, and damn if it wasnt in the shop every month or two! I was either getting bumped, hit, scraped the front end, or scraped the rear bumber backing down driveways or going down a ramp. IT IS NOT WORTH IT!
