CT Supercharger Questions

Some of these questions might be familiar but i did a lot of research and can't find answers.
I just got a used Superchager and I have some question. by the way it's a 03 CLS 6

1. when installing the esm i tested the voltage and it reads .15, not even over 1. i sent it out to CT for diagnosis. could there be another problem besides a bad esm?

2. Where to get a high boost pulley?? I called CT and they told me that their pulley only goes up to 6psi but they also mentioned that there are other high boost pulleys out there that go up 9 or 10psi. where can i get one?

3. I have been looking for an Intercooler kit. i found that SCALBERT (hope systems) did make something for our application but where can i go to find out more information and pic??

4. Lastly a question that has been unanswered. Can a blow off valve be added to the CT SC kit. I spoke to CT and they dont really know but they think it might work. you have to take the vac line off of the bypass valve and install it on the BOV. Has anyone tried this?? Does it work? i just want the sound.

im thinkin youre assed out with the IC. doesnt seem like anyones got it anymore. and those who do aint parting with it. i'm going with allout and mrsteve and using the aquamist instead. can still run 9psi safely from what i understand.

and what use would a blow off valve be?

BOV is supposed to be installed before TB, you won't get any sound by installing a BOV because it's post-throttle. In addition, if the SC's bypass is intact, the BOV would never even get the signal to open up since both sides would maintain the same amount of pressure.

OK blow off is out of the question. the max boost pulley as kuzdu just explained to me needs to get custom made and changed on the SC itself.

How did this guy get his to work

anyone got an answer on the esm

Some people have them here and there, I would assume its just a 3" SC shaft pulley vs the 4.0" just call Magnuson or Eaton and ask around.

3. I have been looking for an Intercooler kit. i found that SCALBERT (hope systems) did make something for our application but where can i go to find out more information and pic??
Search through the different car forums especially this one and the Accord forums.

Nah its just for looks your going to get a very weak sound if anything since the TB is before the BOV the SC will cease to recieve air and the pressure release will be very little. Then again why would the air choose to go through the BOV and not in an engine with vacuum pressure

i used to believe that, and its definitely true, but if my eyes serve me right...umm yeah, there is a official scalbert hope systems intercooler for sale in the BlackMarket right now!!!!!!

if the original poster was actually serious about it, he should jump on this now...back in the day Scalbert saw 369HP @ wheels with 9psi S/C thanks to this Intercooler, not sure if he was 6speed or not, but i wanna say yeah...

the ESM is good. i sent it to comptech for diagnosis. gonna put it in friday. i keep you all posted. as for now the car still runs hard. i killed and evo 10 the other night. left him in the dust. i got him on the launch, mid range and top end. he wasn't even close to catching up. and this is without the ESM or headers. just charger and exhaust

Your car should have been running like crap without an ESM and you shouldn't be racing it in that condition. ESM keeps your ECU from seeing boost. If the ECU sees boost, it doesn't know how to handle it.

I wonder if your MAP sensor is bad and not sending the correct signal to the ECU.

1500 rpm is a bit high.

I just noticed you're running an E-Manage. If that's the case, DO NOT INSTALL THE ESM. The ESM is needed if you're not running other management. The E-Manage needs to see the boost signal from the MAP sensor but should not pass that signal through to the ECU.

It now makes sense why your car runs fine without the ESM.

i am not running an emanage.

i just put the esm in and the idle seems normal. but found a vaccum leak by the throttle body. i use the silicon gasket to fix so i had to let it dry in order to start the car to re-check the idle.
