CT Headers are on........YEAH

So I went to PAA this morning and finally installed the Comptech Headers! my first impression is when you are SS from 2nd to 3rd in Vtec, WOW........the car just pulled and rpm's shot up quickly!! I have to say I am very impressed with the headers, quality and performance and if anybody has the opportunity to get a set new or used get them!!! Only one complaint, the gas gauge kept going down and down, but it was a really fun ride home!!!

very minmal at low rpms. headers really only affect the top end, especially in vtec. until about 4000 rpms there is little difference. actually below 2800 rpms there is a loss in hp. thats why you will see your gas mileage go down after a header install.

I really feel the car as more responsive from 2000 rpms up, and sometimes I can just pull from 3rd gear through instead of just downshifting, def a must have mod, congrats ralph.

Congrats on the headers, reminds me of the first time i stomped on it and felt that extra kick at 4500 RPMs. My mileage wasn't too affected, well until the SC it wasn't

You lose HP at low RPMs? and how does that affect gas milage?

Huh?

I don't get it... why should there be a HP loss? This isn't shown on any of the dyno charts that I have seen for CT headers, and it certainly hasn't been my experience. Since my header install my highway cruising mileage has gone up (rpm in the 2500 range).
