Crushing Victory: as defined in the drag race dictionary...

How many seconds or tenth of a second in 1/4 mile a car has to be faster so you claim a crushing victory in a drag race....

I'm pretty sure there is no special TIME you have to beat them by. It's pretty much numbers and common sense.

Crushing Win in a race:

If the other guy is out of his car picking up his doors after you blew them off when you whipped by him.

A lot has to do with the competition, though and whether you are actualy competing. If tankmonkey comes out to HRP with me in February and I run, say a 12.9 to his 14.6, that 1.7 or 17 carlengths isn't really a "crushing victory" in my book. In that case, I'd say we both had good runs.

If it's someone you are actually "racing", then 5 carlengths/.5 seconds is pretty decisive.

It's going fine. Jeff got the wheel today and the Moser axles should be in tommorrow. Getting a brake job done as well since I have it in already.

Too bad it was twisted studs and not really a broken axle though. It's a badge of pride to break an axle.
