Couple of random acts of abuse :)
yesterday, i abused my car twice...first time, i accidentally threw the car into park while i was reversing (i wasn't paying attention - usually, i back out of my driveway by being in neutral, then going into reverse later)...the grinding was rather disturbing...fortunately, i was only idling, so i stopped immediately...the car was still in motion while the grinding occured (not sure if that's a good sign of a parking brake)...i would think the wheels would just lock and i'd stop short or skid a bit.
second abuse was a little more interesting...i took a U-turn goin about 10MPH, so i decided last minute to turn VSA off and floor it into the turn...i held the turn beautifully even tho my tires were screaching like crazy...i felt the traction control tho...here's how i felt it...as i was turning, the car felt like it was beyond holding the line, then all of a sudden, i felt a push back online for the remainder of the turn...it was weird, and it's kinda hard to describe...keep in mind i have all stock suspension and springs...can anyone shed some light on this?? i know we've gone through whether or not TCS shuts off when u shut off VSA, so i dunno.
