Could I Get Some Suggestions?
I'm currently in the market for a project car. It has to be foriegn, and preferably of Japanese make for the sake or reliabilty. I don't want to spend more than $8500, because I am a notoriously-cheap bastard when it comes to buying cars (minus the Porsche ). I've found several cars in the area, and need your personal suggestion as to what to get. Thanks.
1995 Nissan 240SX SE - White, 89,000 miles, 5-speed, excellent condition, $7000
1996 Honda Accord EX Coupe - Dark green, 4-cylinder, 5-speed, 77,000 miles, good condition $8200
1998 Honda Civic EX Coupe - Black, 5-speed, 50,000 miles, mint condition $8500
I was also looking at a 1994 Prelude Si, but it was sold before I could make a move. And I'll likely have more choices to select from by this weekend, for I will be carousing the HondaBarn in Stratham NH after work this afternoon.
Thanks for any advice.

91-94 Talon TSI or Eclipse GSX (same thing) $2000-$5000
upgraded fuel pump, exhaust, cai, manual boost controller and a few other minor things you should be in the mid to low 13's easy

Scooter: I might take you up on that Prelude offer, but I won't know until I look tonight. I may buy as soon as this afternoon.
As for the 240SX, it's what I'm leaning towards, and a Skyline conversion would be a good idea.
$8500 for the car itself, I'll be spending well above that for modifcations.

240 is nice because it's rwd. Eclipse GSX's are nice because they're awd. Accords are nice because they sit really low with hydrualics and will tuck 19's with no problems
