Cop was racing at the light :)

Last night, a friend of mine and I went for late dinner at Denny's. While comming back I suggested to drive to Lowel, MA to have a walk in Lowel downtown. Eveything was closed other than couple bars. While crossing at the light a Cop pulls next to a 3-door civic. The guy in the civic was talking to the cop (I guess they knew each other). no clue what was the purpose of the disscusion. The light turns green and the cop just pull hard like a big mofo. the guy in the civic did the same and they parted as the cop took a right while the civic's kept striaght.

Cop doing a street light mini drag racing? The first time I ever saw something like that..... Only in Lowel, MA

I've actually raced several cops myself. However, either the was out of it's jurisdiction (in another city) or out of state (KS vs. MO).

Case in point, I raced a Bloomington, MN cop on I35 in Minneapolis several miles out of downtonwn south to the Crosstown freeway. We probably hit 85 in a 65 until I turned off at Hwy 62 heading west to Edina. I knew if I went any further south, I would end up in Bloomington and busted.

The cop matched my speed trying to keep up with me, he changed lanes with me weaving in and out of traffic, he accelerated with me when the traffic opened up; no lights no siren. I figured he was waiting till a State Patrol caught up or until I hit Bloomington city line.

Done this about a dozen times.

Why would *anyone* go to Lowell by choice?! I've been there twice (first time last September to see Sarah Brightman in concert, second time this past March for the WAAF Indoor Beach Party, both at the Tsongas Arena), and it's not the type of city I'd want to take a walk in during the day, much less after dark. And that's coming from somebody who lives in Fall River!

I never seen Lowell downtown, so I said what the heck let us see what it looks like.

Oh, BTW I saw few ricers driving as if they looking for a fight, near the canal we met a couple drunk guys... Yep, Lowell is not a city where you wish to visit.

Yeah, I love Montreal, a Europian City in North America

I think it's time for the "ken steele; you were being irresponsible" talk.

My father's best friend is a retired trooper, when I had my GS-T he pulled me over to say hi and to give me a 20 spot he owed my dad LOL. (Such much for official business). He called my car a rice rocket and I just laughed. He pulled out in front of me and as we evened out I gunned it and he gunned it. Bottom Line: They win, WTF they got in those Caprices?
